About the project

To date, the ALPS CETL project has concentrated on resource discovery to support the needs of stakeholders. Across the CETL partners, these stakeholders include HE teaching staff, NHS teaching staff and practitioners, service users, and students.

This project is exploring using repositories to store and make available learning objects to serve the needs of these groups include the need to develop and collate learning objects across the various repository platforms used by the partners:

  • intraLibrary (NHS and Leeds Met)
  • Archivalware (York St John)
  • Digitool (Leeds)

The proposal is that stakeholders should be able to:

  • Search across the multiple platforms for resources
  • Download resources from any of the platforms into the working arena of their choice
  • Adapt existing resources to suit local use
  • Deposit either an original or an adapted resource/learning object into one or more of the repositories maintained by the CETL partners
